StandWithUs Northwest

Eitan Teiger, 26, was born and raised in Herzliya, a suburb
of Tel Aviv. As a teenager, his family moved to a town in the
Galilee, a region in the north of Israel. This region is also
home to Arab, Bedouin, and Druze communities.
Eitan’s maternal grandparents are Holocaust survivors who
lived in Poland and Germany, but relocated to Gothenburg,
Sweden after the war. There, they raised his mother until
she was fourteen years old, before immigrating to
Israel. Eitan's father immigrated to Israel from the UK at the
age of 27 to fulfill his dream of living in the ancestral
homeland of the Jewish people.
At age 19, Eitan began his mandatory service in the Israel Defense Forces, serving in the Artillery
Corps. In this unit, he became a Squad Commander, Platoon Sergeant, and Deputy Platoon
Commander, and he received awards for leadership and team-building. During his service, he
served in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank), the Golan Heights, and the north of Israel along the
border of Lebanon.
Following his army service, Eitan volunteered for "Zikaron BaSalon" (Remembering in the Living
Room), which provides Holocaust survivors a living room space to share their personal stories with

the next generation. This organization has enabled hundreds of thousands of people to hear first-
hand stories of both the horrors of Nazi persecution and the long process of recovery.

Recently, Eitan received his Bachelor's degree in Government, Diplomacy, and Strategy at the
Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) in Herzliya. On campus, he interned for an organization that builds
bridges between secular and religious students, and he volunteered for an organization to prevent
substance abuse and violence among youth.
In his final year of studies, Eitan interned for a member from the centrist Yesh Atid (“There is a
Future”) party in the Knesset, Israel’s national parliament. In this role, he researched topics that the
party hoped to pass, and wrote speeches to be read in the Knesset. In his free time, Eitan enjoys
hiking, dancing, and spending time with friends.
StandWithUs is dedicated to providing historical facts and context in a fair and unbiased manner.
Through our speakers and materials, we help people understand the complex issues facing Israel
and its neighbors, through the lens of real people and real stories.
We welcome the opportunity to bring Eitan as a speaker to educate and dialogue on the issues.
